Associate - Audit and Tax   

 

Responsibilities

• completing audit assignments

• liaise with clients on limited aspects of audit engagements

• computation of corporate taxes and preparation of tax returns

• work closely with team members and respective team leaders

• perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

 

Requirements

• possess at least a high school graduate diploma such as a SPM certificate (no formal accounting background is expected as on-the-job guidance will be provided)

• good grades in SPM mathematics, additional mathematics, physics or any other quantitative subjects such as finance or economics (at any level with sufficient mathematical content) for those without any knowledge or experience in accounting

• fresh school leavers (SPM holders) are also encouraged to apply

• fast and active learner

• proactive, meticulous and have an eye for details

• ability to follow instructions and to work independently 

• willingness and ability to meet tight deadlines

• preferably be able to communicate in Chinese, English and Malay, including the ability to read and write in Chinese

This is a full time post requiring one to work from Monday to Friday, and occasionally working half-day on Saturdays (8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour break in between).
